The authors of Black Desert Online will show on December 11 a new trailer for the MMORPG Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss, the developer of MMORPG Black Desert Online, unveiled last year trailers for three MMO projects in development at once: DokeV, PLAN 8, and Crimson Desert. Now the developers have shown an animated emblem of the latest project and promised to soon publish a new trailer with the gameplay.
The Crimson Desert video will be shown for the first time at the opening of The Game Awards 2020, which begins on December 11 at 02:30 Moscow time. Perhaps then we will find out some details – for example, the release date and the exact target platforms (so far Crimson Desert is announced only for PCs and consoles).
Crimson Desert is a story of mercenary survival and the struggle of all against all. It promises to plunge into the war-torn world of the Middle Ages, where loyalty is tested for strength and heroes appear. Players will be able to explore the vast and colorful continent of Pavel.
No one can survive in a world full of trials and enemies alone, so you will have to look for allies. In this case, you need to act with extreme caution – only the strongest will survive in these merciless lands among unknown monsters, the ruling elite, and hostile mercenaries.
Crimson Desert should be the new flagship game in the series. It was born out of the developers’ desire to tell the backstory of the world of the Black Desert. In the end, however, aside from a few in-game references, Pearl Abyss created an entirely new epic that would offer unique worldviews, religions, and characters.
The main character will be Macduff, son of Martinus – the leader of a motley band of mercenaries. He is in constant turmoil, torn between his responsibility and concern for the survival of those who rely on him. He has a tragic past, from which you cannot hide. Crimson Desert will tell about many different characters whose fates are connected with the main character and his gang of mercenaries. Each will have its own story, the development of which is influenced by the decisions made by the player and other factors. Crimson Desert will offer both a single-player campaign and a ton of content related to the MMORPG genre.
