“Family settings” allow you to impose restrictions
The developers of the phenomenally popular TikTok short video sharing service have announced the launch of the new Family Pairing feature.

According to the press service, all parents have been waiting for this update for a long time. The “Family Settings” function will allow the parent to connect their TikTok account with the child’s account and gain access to a number of security and privacy settings for the child’s account:
- Screen time control: how much time a child can spend days in the application
- Safe Mode: Limits on Inappropriate Content
- Personal correspondence settings: a list of users who can send messages or complete disconnection of correspondence is sent.
It is noted that from April 30, TikTok is going to disable the direct messaging function for users under 16 years of age.
You can activate “Family Settings” provided that both users are registered in TikTok and agree to create a link between the accounts. The feature will be gradually introduced soon.
The other day, TikTok overcame the mark of 1 billion downloads on Google Play and did it faster than any application that does not belong to Google and does not pre-install on almost all smartphones in the world.
