Recall that plans to expand the Colonists’ platform membership were announced in mid-March, but then the creators limited themselves to only tentative dates – 2021.

As it became known, The Colonists will go on sale for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 4 this year. Despite the proximity of the release, there is no way to pre-order the game yet.

The main features of the console versions of The Colonists are called the controls adapted specifically for consoles, a reimagined interface, and new hats for robots.

According to the developers, porting The Colonists to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch turned out to be “a daunting task”: the team had to make “many smart decisions” not to lose all the depth and accessibility of gameplay when porting.

The Colonists were inspired by peace strategy games like The Settlers and Anno. In the project, you need to control a team of self-replicating robots created to simulate human civilization.

The initial release of The Colonists took place in October 2018 on PC. Then the game appeared on the digital stores Steam and GOG and later reached the Epic Games Store.
