It is able to fly almost 15 thousand km on one refueling
Bombardier has introduced the Global 8000 business jet, and judging by the declared characteristics, it is the most advanced in the class. True, there is no production version yet – it will appear only in 2025.
Bombardier calls the Global 8000 the fastest civil aviation aircraft since the Concorde, based on the fact that it broke the supersonic barrier. On tests, it accelerated to a speed of Mach 1,015 – 1242 km / h, and became the first aircraft to break the supersonic barrier using environmentally friendly aviation fuel (SAF).
In commercial use, the speeds will be lower, but also impressive for a passenger aircraft – the maximum will be Mach 0.94 (1150 km / h), cruising – Mach 0.85 (1041 km / h).
The fastest aircraft in civil aviation since the Concorde.
The Bombardier Global 8000 received upgraded General Electric Passport turbofan engines, which are more economical and, at the same time, allow higher speeds to be achieved. The maximum flight range is 14,816 km.
The Global 8000 is designed to carry 19 passengers, for whom there are four zones in the cabin (one of them can even accommodate a double bed). And then there is climate control with a HEPA filtration system, ergonomic chairs.
You will have to pay for advanced performance, and pay a lot: the cost of the Bombardier Global 8000 in the basic version is $ 78 million (the passenger Boeing 737 will be cheaper). The aircraft will be ready for commercial flights in 2025.
