The first Huawei and Chery car with autopilot, HarmonyOS 4.0 and Luxeed S7 air suspension

It goes on sale November 28th

The all-electric Luxeed S7 sedan, developed by Huawei and Chery, will go on sale on November 28. The car is the first model developed under Huawei’s Smart Choice scheme, where the Chinese phone maker acts as a supplier and seller.

The S7 sedan is available for pre-sale starting at $35,500. Chery and Huawei offer the car in four trim levels. The configurations offer a power reserve of 550 to 800 km. The older version retails for $49,000.

The mid-size electric sedan is set to be the first car to run Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.0. It will be equipped with lidar and Huawei ADS 2.0 autonomous driving system. In addition to the lidar, the car will receive 11 HD cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The second generation of Huawei Autopilot offers, among other things, a bird’s-eye view and the function of detecting common obstacles such as overturned cars, fallen trees and so on.

The 5-meter car will receive air suspension, wide wheel arches, Brembo brakes, retractable door handles, and small side mirrors. It will be built on the E0X platform from Chery. The same architecture underpins the upcoming Exeed Sterra ES and Exeed Sterra ET. Its main features are a 700 km CATL battery that supports 800 V charging, and all-wheel drive with two motors.

The multimedia system will be well compatible with Huawei phones, laptops and other equipment. In addition, the main screen will be able to run video games thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 platform from Qualcomm. You can connect a quadcopter to your car, and it will broadcast video directly to the car’s screen.
