Announcement expected in August
The Radeon RX 7800 and Radeon RX 7700 graphics cards, which, according to the latest data, can be presented in about a month , have already been lit up in the benchmark.
In 3DMark Time Spy, the older of the new products is gaining 18,957 points, and the youngest shows a result of 15,568 points. When compared directly with AMD adapters, which in the case of a benchmark is more correct than comparing with Nvidia, it turns out that the RX 7700 is 43% faster than the RX 7600, and the RX 7800 is 74% faster than the RX 7600. The RX 7900 XT is 37% faster than the RX 7800.
The first test results for the Radeon RX 7800 and Radeon RX 7700 have appeared.
Based on the benchmark, the RX 7700 delivers performance on par with the RX 6800 and RTX 3070 Ti. In games, the last two are also often roughly equal, so this is a good guideline. True, the RTX 3070 Ti sags in some modern games due to 8 GB of memory, while the RX 7700 is expected to have 12 GB with a 192-bit bus.
The RX 7800, in turn, proves to be a competitor for the RX 6800 XT and RTX 4070/RTX 3080. As in the first case, the last three are also approximately equal in games.
In total, the RX 7700 will have no competitors in the RTX 40 line, significantly ahead of the RTX 4060 Ti and far behind the RTX 4070. Recall that the first costs $400 or $500 depending on the amount of memory, and the second costs $600. That is, the new AMD will probably cost at the level of the RTX 4060 Ti, but it is not clear which of the modifications.
The RX 7800 will compete directly with the $600 RTX 4070, which is unlikely to cost more considering AMD’s pricing in the current line of graphics cards.
