The Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan was spotted testing at the Zhejiang International Circuit in Shaoxing. The car is covered in red, white and black camouflage, and its active rear spoiler is raised.
Xiaomi will hold a conference in December where the SU7 will be officially unveiled and pre-orders will begin. The date of the conference has not yet been announced, but Chinese media noted that December 27 will mark the 1000th day since Xiaomi announced plans to release the car.
Last month it was revealed that Xiaomi would use state-owned BAIC as a contract manufacturer. This is a fairly common occurrence for EV startups in China. For example, Xpeng cars were originally produced by Haima, while JAC produced Nio cars.

In December, local media reported that Xiaomi SU7 had entered the fifth stage of production line inspection (PT5) at BAIC’s Beijing Yizhuang plant. The plant plans to produce 300 test vehicles in December and prepare for mass production in early 2024.
In addition, Xiaomi is preparing to release three new models in 2024. First the SU7, codenamed Modena, followed by the Le Mans all-electric vehicle (BEV) and the Kunlun plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
