The head of the Cyberpunk 2077 development studio apologizes to employees for his “derogatory and harmful” words about overtime

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier posted on his microblog a letter that CD Projekt President Adam Kicinski sent to employees after his recent announcement about overhauls.

Recall that in a conversation with investors after the third transfer of Cyberpunk 2077, Kichinsky said that the situation with overtime in the studio was “not so bad” and never was.

As Schreier reports, a few hours after the speech, Kichinsky considered it necessary to personally explain himself in a separate letter and apologize to the employees for what he said.

According to Kichinsky, as part of his conversation with investors, the head did not want to touch on the topic of overwork, but he did it anyway, and in a “humiliating and destructive manner

“I have nothing to say in my own defense. My statement was not only regrettable but frankly bad. For this I ask you to accept my most sincere and honest apologies, ”wrote Kuchinski.

Earlier it became known that as a result of the third transfer, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 began to receive death threats. However, this is far from the first and certainly not the last such case.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released on December 10 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, as well as GeForce Now and Google Stadia. Despite being released this year, the game will not qualify for the 2020 Game Awards.
