Rumors of the first Redmi smartwatch, which is due out under the name Redmi Watch, have been circulating on the web since the end of last year. Immediately after the release of the Xiaomi Mi Watch, Redmi CEO Lu Weibing asked fans on the Chinese social network Weibo how much they were waiting for the company’s first smartwatch to be released.

Now, Chinese sources unanimously claim that the device has already received the necessary certificates for the release and will be announced in the very near future.
In January of this year, a new Redmi product with model number HMSH01GE passed certification, and the description said that we are talking about a smartwatch. More than six months later, the device appears to be ready for release.
It is expected that the Redmi Watch will receive all the smart features that are presented in the smartwatch Xiaomi Mi Watch, but at the same time, Redmi will do everything to ensure that the new product is offered at a lower price than the device of its parent company.
The device is expected to be able to track heart rate, a variety of sports modes and will run the WearOS operating system.
