Alas, Luna-25 will never send more pictures of the Moon
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has published new images of the far side of the moon on Twitter. They were made by the LHDAC camera, with the help of which researchers will determine the safe landing zone of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft.
“ These are images of the far side of the Moon captured by the Landing Vehicle Hazard Detection and Avoidance Camera (LHDAC). This camera helps determine a safe landing zone – no boulders or deep trenches – during a descent, developed by ISRO ,” ISRO said.
The Indian spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 sent back new photos of the far side of the moon.
The Chandrayaan-3 lander is scheduled to make a soft landing on the Moon on August 23. The device should land in the region of the South Pole of the Moon – it was planned to land the crashed Russian station Luna-25 approximately in the same place .
