From July 17, officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade will be prohibited from using Apple mobile devices in work communications.
This is reported by “Vedomosti” with reference to the relevant order, which was sent to employees of the department yesterday, July 4, and signed by First Deputy Minister Vasily Osmakov.
An employee of one of the companies developing IT solutions also reports about the ban. He added that similar bans will soon be introduced in other major departments and regions.

The order contains a direct ban on the use of “mobile devices (telephones, smartphones) manufactured by Apple in official activities.”
