New items weigh 187 and 221 g, respectively
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max received a titanium body, making them lighter. They’re not as light as expected, but they really are the lightest high-end models since the XS.
The iPhone 15 Pro has dimensions of 146.6 × 70.6 × 8.25 mm and weighs 187 g. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has dimensions of 159.9 × 76.7 × 8.25 mm and weighs 221 g.
The new iPhone Pros are no longer bricks.
That is, the new generation has become a little lower, a little narrower, a little thicker, but noticeably lighter. For comparison, here are the masses of all generations of iPhone Pro:
- iPhone X – 174 g;
- iPhone XS – 177 g;
- iPhone 11 Pro – 188 g;
- iPhone 12 Pro – 189 g;
- iPhone 13 Pro – 203 g;
- iPhone 14 Pro – 206 g;
- iPhone XS Max – 208 g;
- iPhone 11 Pro Max – 226 g;
- iPhone 12 Pro Max – 228 g;
- iPhone 13 Pro Max – 238 g;
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – 240 g.
As for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, they did not receive titanium cases, so they are almost no different from their predecessors: 171 and 201 g, respectively.
