This name was previously used for Cerato and Forte
The all-new Kia K3 sedan has been unveiled as the successor to the Rio. Recall that earlier Kia K3 was produced under the names Cerato and Forte in different markets.
The new Kia K3 is presented as a four-door sedan, which is expected to be followed by a five-door hatchback. Compared to the previous Rio sedan, the new K3 is larger in size. It is 4545mm long, 1765mm wide and 1475mm high. The wheelbase has been increased to 2670 mm. This increase leads to an increase in the luggage compartment to 544 liters (Rio’s volume is 480 liters).
The front of the new K3 is inspired by the older K5, featuring a wide grille with signature tiger nose pattern and distinctive daytime running lights. The rear shows off the new taillights and the light strip that connects them.

The dashboard design is simplified and reminiscent of the Kia EV6. It is equipped with a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touch screen. The steering wheel design is similar to that of the EV6, and the car gets ambient lighting, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and USB-C ports.
The equipment includes six airbags, ABS and ESC, as well as various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The base version will receive a 1.6-liter inline-four-cylinder gasoline engine with 123 hp, and a 2-liter NA four-cylinder engine with 152 hp will also be available.
The K3 will be built in Nuevo Leon, Mexico and will be available in various markets starting in the fourth quarter of the year.
