The local version of the new generation Nissan Pathfinder large SUV was presented at the Guangzhou Auto Show. It is completely different from the model for the US market: the Chinese version looks like a crossover, and the “American” looks like a typical SUV. In addition, the “Chinese” is 126 mm longer. At the same time, the chassis architecture of these models is common, and the wheelbase is identical.

The Chinese Nissan Pathfinder will not receive a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission, but instead a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 252 hp. and a variator. The drive can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (in more expensive trim levels).
Both cars are seven-seater (a more comfortable six-seater version has also been promised in China). The interior of the Asian Pathfinder has a slightly different front panel: with a single block of screens, ventilation deflectors of a different shape and a redesigned climate control unit.
In China, production of the Nissan Pathfinder will start next year at the facilities of Dongfeng Nissan. It is possible that this model will officially appear in Russia in the same way as the Venucia V-Online crossover appeared a couple of days ago .
