The next gamescom will be held simultaneously in online and traditional format

Gamescom will return to Cologne in 2021. The exhibition will be accompanied by a similar recent online show to try to attract more international viewers.

We believe that celebrating, playing, and sharing the site together makes Gamescom special. That’s why we’re already looking forward to offering the ‘full’ Gamescom experience again here in Cologne and on the Internet, ”said Gerald Bose, President, and CEO of Koelnmesse.

Typically, an event in Cologne attracts game fans and industry representatives from about a hundred countries, but the online show this year has been watched by residents of more than 180 countries around the world. Of course, Koelnmesse and the German Games Industry Association aim to repeat this success in the future.
