The Moscow plant has not yet held a presentation of Moskvich 5
The Russian automobile plant Moskvich is now preparing to launch a new model. As expected, it will be the Moskvich 5 crossover. The production director of the automobile plant, Oleg Maslyakov, spoke about the model and launch timing in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The plant director told when the Moskvich 5 crossovers will start rolling off the assembly line en masse
According to the top manager, the start of mass production and the start of sales is planned for the first half of 2024. He said:
Moskvich 5 is a mid-size crossover, we plan for it to appear in the first half of 2024.
In the summer, Moskvich 5 was unexpectedly demonstrated at KamAZ .
As reported then, Moskvich 5 will be offered with two 1.5-liter turbocharged engines. The first develops 149 hp, the second (with direct injection) – 184 hp. The first configuration is presented only with a CVT, the second – with a 6-speed “robot” with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
