It looks like the Borderlands movie will not repeat the plot of the games. This was announced by the head of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford (Randy Pitchford), on Twitter: “The cinematic universe of Borderlands is not identical to the video game. “
According to Pitchford, the characters, tone, and style will be identical. Still, Gearbox allows for independent storytelling: video games and movies differ in presentation, so the same rules should not bind content.
