Pre-orders in China have already started
Pre-sales of the Xpeng X9 MPV started on Friday, November 17, at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The X9 is available for $54,000. Customers who leave a $280 deposit will receive a $700 rebate, a lifetime warranty and incentives that will be introduced when the MPV officially goes on sale.
Xpeng X9 is built on SEPA2.0 architecture, which supports rear wheel steering. If you turn the front wheels, the rear wheels can also turn, increasing the vehicle’s maneuverability. This will be the first vehicle equipped with Xpeng XOS Tianji cockpit software.
The Xpeng X9 has a futuristic design and dimensions of 5293 × 1988 × 1785 mm with a wheelbase of 3160 mm. It has three rows and 6 or 7 seats, depending on the configuration and the wishes of customers. The rear doors are sliding, the handles are flush with the body.
The price of Xpeng X9 MPV has been announced
The Xpeng X9 is available in two variants with one or two motors. The model with the engine on the front axle will offer 319 hp. This version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from Eve Energy.
The version with two engines received an additional 183 hp engine. on the rear axle (total power is more than 500 hp), as well as a nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, which is supplied by CALB.
A laser rangefinder and other sensors will be built into the front bumper of the X9, which will be responsible for the operation of the automatic piloting system.
The power reserve ranges from 610 to 702 km.
