Everything is a little better with the GPU

The other day we had the opportunity to evaluate the performance and energy efficiency of the Tensor G3 SoC in graphics tests. Now it’s the turn of games and CPU tests.

The same Golden Reviewer tested the Pixel 8 Pro in Genshin Impact, and the results were much worse than in the benchmarks. Firstly, in terms of performance, the Tensor G3 is on par with the Snapdragon 888 in its, not the best implementation nor even the Exynos 990. Even the Tensor G2 is better for some reason, although this may be a matter of optimization. In terms of energy efficiency in this task, the new product is still better than the Snapdragon 888 and is at the level of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 it is not the best implementation and is inferior to the Dimensity 9000.

As for the processor part, everything is very bad here. If we talk about large Cortex-A715 cores, their performance is quite mediocre due to the significantly reduced frequency. Energy efficiency is one of the worst and at the level of Exynos 2200. Interestingly, Tensor G2 is expected weaker in performance, but in terms of energy efficiency, it is ahead.
