We are talking about Peel P50

The Quadrant Youtube channel published a video showing how the famous Nürburgring track was raced on a Peel P50. The authors of the video called it the smallest and slowest car at the famous race track.

This is a British three-wheeled microcar produced in the 60s. A total of 50 pieces were produced. In 2010, two businessmen founded a new company to produce them again with minor changes. The P50 produces around three to four horsepower from its 49cc engine and has a top speed of 60 km/h.

Former racing driver Max Fewtrell drove slowly for a long lap around the Nordschleife. He was warned that left turns would be particularly dangerous because the engine is mounted on the right side of the P50, making it more likely to roll over.

Fewtrell said he was in the most focused and tense state he had ever felt behind the wheel of a car. In this case, we are talking about a person who participated in Formula 3 races.

Fewtrell completed the lap in 25:44.136. At the same time, the P50 performed even worse than the Claas Xerion 5000 tractor, which showed a time of 24:50.570 in Auto Motor und Sport tests. The new Civic Type R laps in 7:44.881.
