The Sony PlayStation portable game console will require a PS5 to work.

The new PlayStation console, whatever it ends up being called, won’t be a cloud-based console, as some rumors have claimed. Moreover, it is not a standalone product at all. Q Lite will be able to run games through the Remote Play function, which means that it will need a PlayStation 5 to work.

Whether the set-top box will have a cellular modem is unclear. If not, then this will further limit the scenarios for its use. Henderson also says the device is aimed at Full HD resolution at 60fps. Externally, the prototypes are very similar to the Dualsense controller, but with a larger screen. In the image above, you can see the concept created according to Henderson’s description.

The prototype console is equipped with a fairly large eight-inch screen. The console also boasts core DualSense technologies: adaptive triggers and an advanced feedback system.
