Filming will begin in 2025
The Mars Media film company plans to film a series about the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, which will go into production in 2025.
“It is in the genre of the series that we have been working on a project about Gagarin for five years now. We bought the rights to the image of Gagarin from the heirs of Yuri Gagarin. <…> I think that next year the script about Gagarin will be ready. And in 2025 it could go into production,” said the founder of the film company Ruben Dishdishyan during the session “Cinema – shaping the image of the future. The Age of Great Space Discoveries” of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum – Forum of United Cultures.
The work is hard. The series about Yuri Gagarin will include 8 episodes
He admitted that work on the project is going hard: “I really don’t want to do this in an average way and it’s impossible, I think. Now we are entering a new stage, we have changed scriptwriters, I can’t say more yet.”
The series will include eight episodes lasting 45–50 minutes. First of all, this will be the story of Gagarin’s life.
“For now the name is Gagarin, but it will change. It seems to me that something else will be added there, otherwise it is very banal,” added Dishdishyan.
