There is no gain at all in single-threaded mode

The other day the Cinebench 2024 software package was presented, and today we can evaluate the performance of the unannounced Core i9-14900K in this software.

Intel’s upcoming new product scores 128 and 2161 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. For comparison, the Core i9-13900K scores 127 and 2044 points, while the Core i9-13900KS scores 128 and 2111 points.

That is, in the new software the difference between CPUs is minimal. In single-threaded mode, it is not there at all, but in multi-threaded mode, the new product is 6% faster than its predecessor. Technically the Core i9-14900K is a complete copy of the Core i9-13900KS, and the tiny difference in performance may indicate a slightly increased power limit or a slightly different operating algorithm.

In the same benchmark, the Ryzen 9 7950X scores 119 and 1952 points, while the Ryzen 9 7950X3D scores 121 and 2002 points.
