Their presentation will take place in the autumn
Against the backdrop of an ever-increasing flow of SUVs and crossovers, Skoda is holding its ground by offering cars in other body styles. Spy photographer motor1 took pictures of two Skoda Superb prototypes being tested. We are talking about wagon and liftback.
In the photos, one would think that the standard version is a sedan, but the photo shows the large roll-up door that the liftback is equipped with. The photo shows a huge amount of luggage space with a convenient access.
This is Skoda Superb 2024.
Under the hood, presumably, there will be a gasoline or diesel four-cylinder engine with a volume of no more than 2 liters. A plug-in hybrid model will be part of the lineup, but a full electric vehicle is not yet expected. The new Superb will use an updated version of the Volkswagen MQB chassis and may ditch the manual transmission in favor of an automatic.
The main changes will affect the front end: there will be a larger octagonal grille, narrow headlights on the sides and a square chin with large vertically oriented angled air vents. Behind the lights also became narrower.
As for the station wagon, it has a slightly larger taillight design to better match the proportions of the larger rear end. The car was removed during towing tests. The station wagon prototype also shows off the new dashboard from a distance. The redesign will be accompanied by a host of driver assistance technologies and other features.
Earlier, Skoda confirmed the autumn presentation of the next generation Skoda Superb and Kodiaq and published the first teasers of the new models .
