Kia will add equipment not available at the launch of the 4th generation Carnival. These include a head-up display, Level 2 Highway Assist, dual 12-inch curved displays, fingerprint driver recognition, and Ergo Motion seats from the EV9.
The updated Carnival is expected to debut in October in South Korea and arrive in the United States in the first half of 2024.
Back in July last year, Kia released production plans for all of its South Korean plants, including the Sohari plant, for 2022 and delivered bad news for the Stinger. Following this plan, Kia ended production of the Stinger in early 2023 after several adjustments due to continued sluggish sales.
In the second quarter of 2022, Kia converted lines at the Sohari plant in South Korea to begin mass production of electrified vehicles such as the Carnival Hybrid and the flagship EV9 electric crossover.
