The Tinkoff Bank team announced a significant expansion of the functionality of the Tinkoff Pay payment service. Now users of smartphones based on Android can pay for purchases in regular offline stores by simply touching the phone to the payment terminal.

You can link any Tinkoff card of the Mir payment system, including a credit card, to the service. You can pay by phone with Tinkoff Pay wherever contactless payments are accepted. Right at the time of payment, you can select the card from which the money will be debited, as well as view the account balance. To confirm a purchase in excess of 1000 rubles, you need to unlock the phone. For purchases up to 1000 rubles, it is enough to bring the phone to the terminal with the screen on.

The Tinkoff Pay payment function will appear for users in the application settings in stages. Within two weeks, it will become available to all Tinkoff clients.

Tinkoff Pay supports smartphones with NFC module and Android operating system starting from version 7.0. Also, to connect Tinkoff Pay, you need to update the Tinkoff application to version 6.18 or newer.
