Ulefone Note 15 received a platform from 2016 with 80 points in Geekbench

But the design from the flagships of Huawei

Ulefone has presented not the most typical smartphone for itself. The Note 15 model does not have any increased protection, but it stands out with its relatively compact dimensions, a small screen by modern standards and a very low price.

The company also says that its smartphone is thin and light as paper, but in fact the thickness here is 8.9 mm, which is far from a record, and the weight is 179 g, which is not much, but the smartphone is small.

More precisely, the dimensions are 157.2 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, which is due to the presence of a 6.2-inch screen. It has HD+ resolution and is based on an IPS panel.

Also, the device has only 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of flash memory, a main camera with a resolution of only 8 megapixels and a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh.

But the most amazing thing here is the platform. The heart is MediaTek MT6580, and this is a platform from the beginning of 2016! There are only four Cortex-A7 cores and a 28 nm process technology. This is such an old platform that you simply cannot find its results in AnTuTu 9. In Geekbench 5, the platform scores approximately 80 and 270 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively! For comparison, even the quad-core Helio A22, which is very slow by modern standards, which does not even score 100,000 points in AnTuTu 9, in Geekbench 5 shows results of about 160 and 540 points, that is, twice as much as that of the MT6580.

Yes, the smartphone is running Android 12 Go, but it’s hard to say in absentia how seamlessly the device will work with such an old SoC.

Of the rest, only the design, clearly taken from the flagships of Huawei, can be noted. Moreover, if outwardly the camera block seems to include four camera sensors, then in fact it is there alone, except for the depth sensor.

The novelty costs $90, but with such parameters, even this price raises questions.
