Vivo is preparing to release a mysterious 5G smartphone with a 6.4-inch display

The Chinese company Vivo, one of the world’s largest smartphone suppliers, continues to develop the 5G direction. According to network sources, the release of a new mid-level device with the ability to work in fifth-generation mobile networks is coming.

The device is codenamed V2031A. Information about him appeared on the website of the China Telecommunication Equipment Certification Authority (TENAA).

It is known that the smartphone is endowed with a 6.4-inch display. Observers believe it is a Full HD + panel with a notch or hole for the front camera.

Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4020 mAh. 3C certification indicates support for 18-watt charging technology. Finally, the thickness of the case is called – 7.7 mm.

Thus, we can assume that Vivo will soon announce a relatively inexpensive 5G device. It will probably be based on one of the processors from the MediaTek Dimensity family.

According to a fresh forecast from Canalys, approximately 278 million 5G smartphones will be shipped worldwide this year. In 2021, deliveries of such devices will approximately double, reaching 544 million units.
