AvtoVAZ Vice President for Sales and Marketing Dmitry Kostromin, in an interview with Samara Review, confirmed that so far the plant has nothing to offer young people.
When asked how to characterize the portrait of an average Lada buyer, the following answer was given:
The portrait of this buyer, unfortunately, has not yet changed. This is a man from 44 to 56 years old. Unfortunately, we have nothing to offer young people “here and now”, Vesta and new SUVs should change the trend. The female audience was interested in XRAY and Vesta Cross with a gun. The first model has been discontinued, we are waiting for Vesta Cross with a gun in 2024.

Dmitry Kostromin added that there will be no automatic transmission yet: “This is not our desire, this is the position of our former partners. Copying an automatic transmission mechanically is not difficult, the main problem is in the software.”
He also confirmed that AvtoVAZ discussed the possibility of producing Lada Granta without electric power steering (EUR), but factory marketers defended this option.
