The first electrified minivan in Great Wall Motor’s lineup, the Wey Gaoshan, went on sale on Wednesday, October 18. The minivan is priced between $46,000 and $55,500 in China. Deliveries will begin in January next year.

The plug-in hybrid minivan is available in three versions (Noble, Flagship, and Executive). The Executive version is considered the longest minivan in China – its length is 5405 mm and the price is $55,500.

The manufacturer also offered incentives to customers. Those who order the Gaoshan will be eligible for a $680 direct discount, a $960 car insurance discount, six free visits to Great Wall Motor mechanics for repairs/services, and a free charger.

The car is equipped with a DHT plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The engine power is 156 kW, and when combined with an electric motor, the total power can reach 486 kW. A triple lithium battery with a capacity of 37.96 kWh provides a purely electric range of 175 km.

The cabin will be equipped with a dual screen, all electrically adjustable seats with heating and ventilation functions, a Harman Kardon audio system with 20 speakers, and voice control.

There is a refrigerator with a volume of 12.5 liters, which can be opened from above or pulled out from behind the first row. Massage seats received weightlessness, ventilation, and heating functions. Maximum legroom in the second row is 1166 mm. The third row can be folded down to increase trunk volume to 1,725 ​​liters.
