HD video on the way
The WhatsApp team has announced the launch of an update that will allow users to share photos in HD quality.
The feature allows you to save high resolution photos when sending via WhatsApp. It was previously in beta testing with a limited number of users on WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
To access the new feature, you need to update WhatsApp to the latest version. After that, you will see a new HD button at the top of the photo sharing screen next to other image editing tools.
Whatsapp now lets you share HD photos
If you press the HD button, a new pop-up window will appear allowing you to select the photo quality. Standard is selected by default. The recipient will see the photo with an HD warning label in the lower left corner.
According to the company, the HD photo sending function will gradually become available to users around the world. And after a while there will be support for HD-video.
