Home GPU RTX 4070

Why the RTX 4060 Ti sucks.

5-8% are averages

The authors of the Hardware Unboxed channel decided to test the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti video card again, but this time in 50 games at once. Such an extensive selection is usually not found in tests, but the result will be all the more representative.

True, you don’t even have to watch the video, as it is called in translation “Why the RTX 4060 Ti sucks.”

On average, in Full HD, the RTX 4060 Ti is only 8% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti. This is even less than in some other tests, where the increase was at least slightly higher than 10%. In this mode, there are only two games in the entire collection where the difference is 21-23%, in all the rest it is 17% or lower. Moreover, there are five games where even here the RTX 3060 Ti is faster, and in one game by 10%.

Why the RTX 4060 Ti sucks.

At 1440p it’s even worse for the new model. It is on average only 5% faster than its predecessor and loses to it already in eight games, that is, in 16% of cases.

Of course, here video cards were compared without DLSS and frame generation, but so far this comparison is the most honest. In addition, the larger the list of games, the greater the percentage of projects in it will not support DLSS at all, and so far only some of the most modern ones can boast of DLSS support.

At the same time, we recall that the RTX 4060 Ti entered the market with a price of $ 400, just like the RTX 3060 Ti in its time. At the same time, right now in the US, the RTX 3060 Ti costs from $ 340.
