Judging by what I read on the diagrams and what I heard, the new cover is made using Fine Woven Twill technology – a type of textile weaving characterized by a diagonal stripe. It appears that the material used is not waterproof, so it can be damaged if it comes into contact with water. The official name seems to be confirmed – FineWoven. The retail price for the general public should be more than 800 yuan, which is probably around 109 US dollars or even more since this is an innovative material developed by Apple.
By comparison, leather cases for the iPhone 14 cost $60 each.
