World of Tanks received hundreds of negative reviews on Steam due to the inability to transfer an account there

Yesterday, April 29, the shareware tank action game World of Tanks was released on Steam . Hundreds of negative reviews overshadowed the release. The main reason for dissatisfaction is the inability to transfer an existing account to the Valve site.

Most users complain that they don’t want to create a new account and accumulate all the progress again. They criticized the developers from Wargaming for such a decision and brought down the rating of World of Tanks on Steam. The game has received 896 reviews on the service, of which only 34% are positive. In addition, some people complain about a long search for a match and technical problems, including crashes.

Wargaming announced its intention to release World of Tanks on Steam this February. And even then, the company warned that it would not be possible to transfer an existing account to the service. Tank action was not originally developed for release on multiple PC platforms. Hence the inability to implement the above function.

When it comes to the online World of Tanks on Steam, according to the Steam Database, the number of concurrent users peaked at 2,990. And now the number has dropped by a thousand.
