Xbox Series X and Series S measured size among themselves and with other consoles in a photo shoot

Microsoft’s gaming division recently bombarded the public with announcements related to the next generation of Xbox consoles. Users were introduced to the Xbox Series S, told about its characteristics, announced the simultaneous launch of the console with the older version, Series X, and announced the prices for both devices. Meanwhile, the media began to publish numerous photos of the upcoming Microsoft consoles and compare them with other gaming platforms.

The new Xbox is made in the style of brutalism and stands out with strict rectangular shapes. The Xbox Series X, as a more powerful set-top box, is larger and has a cubic design. Each side is 15.1 cm wide and 30.1 cm high. For comparison, the dimensions of the Xbox One X are 30 x 6 x 24 cm (length, height, and width, respectively). But the dimensions of the PlayStation 4 Pro – 29.5 x 5.5 x 32.7 cm.That is, Series X cannot be called too large a console. It may only seem like this at first glance because of the style and cubic shape.

Illustrative examples are shown below in the photo, which compares the Xbox Series X with all consoles together and separately with Series S and Nintendo Switch. Even against the background of the latter, which measures 23.9 x 1.39 x 10.2 cm, it looks very neat.

As for the Xbox Series S, it is 60% smaller than its big brother. Its dimensions are 6.3 cm in width, 27.5 cm in height, and 15.1 cm in length. It turns out that it is even more compact than the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

And The Verge editor Tom Warren even matched the consoles with NVDIA’s GeForce RTX 30-series graphics card.

Xbox Series X and Series S will go on sale on November 10, 2020, for $ 499 and $ 299, respectively.
