Four major system updates and another year of security updates
Xiaomi presented a pleasant surprise for everyone who is considering purchasing the flagship Xiaomi 13T or Xiaomi 13T Pro: These smartphones will receive expanded software support, as announced by the head of the Xiaomi PR service, Daniel Desjarlais.
Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro will be updated for five years
“ We are proud to announce a significant expansion of our software support commitment. Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro will receive 4 Android OS updates, as well as 5 years of security updates,” he wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
Thus, Xiaomi is finally starting to catch up to Samsung’s software support level. I just wish that a similar support program would apply not only to flagships but at least to mid-level models.
Let us remind you that earlier the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro smartwatch was shown in renderings. They may be presented together with the Xiaomi 13T line.
