Vivo is # 1 with 24% market share
Xiaomi did not make it to the Top 3, losing even to Huawei. A new leader in the largest smartphone market
The second place is held by Oppo, which was able to take 21%, while Huawei fell to third place with a result of 15%. The absence of Xiaomi in the top three, which feels great on the global smartphone market, looks somewhat unexpected.
Counterporint Research cites strong sales of the Vivo Y30 and Vivo Y31 series, as well as the recently launched Vivo S9 5G and Vivo S9e 5G, as key factors driving the brand to the top. The study also says shoppers rated the move to 5G, with 76% of all Vivo phones sold supporting next-generation connectivity.
The availability of supply in all price segments has also played a key role: the Vivo Nex and Vivo X series act as flagship models, while the S and Y lines, together with the iQOO sub-brand, cover the middle and budget segments of the market.
Oppo is also doing well, and Huawei is sinking lower and lower under the yoke of sanctions.
