The Chinese company Xiaomi has introduced a new inexpensive smartphone under the Redmi brand. The base model Redmi Note 12R turned out to be more powerful and larger than the Redmi Note 12R Pro, but lost the AMOLED screen.
The Redmi Note 12R has already started selling in China. Chinese users can buy the Redmi Note 12R starting at $152 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version.

The smartphone is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 single-chip system , which debuted yesterday, and received a 6.79-inch LCD screen with a resolution of full HD + (1080 x 2460 pixels) and a frame rate of 90 Hz.
Other key features include a dual main camera (50 and 2 MP) and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18 W charging, as well as the MIUI 14 shell with the Android 13 operating system.
