Xiaomi launched MIUI 12.5 global version

Earlier today, Xiaomi launched the flagship Mi 11 smartphone to the international market. The company has now officially unveiled the global version of the latest proprietary firmware, MIUI 12.5. In the fresh software, Xiaomi has focused on performance and energy efficiency and updated the interface design.

The company says MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11, is much more optimized than previous Android versions. It is reported that the consumption of RAM compared to MIUI 12 has decreased by 20 percent. Besides, the firmware is 22 percent less CPU intensive and 15 percent more energy-efficient than its predecessor. However, during the new shell presentation, the company did not mention features such as MIUI +, an updated sandbox mechanism, improved live wallpapers, realistic system sounds, and tactile feedback that are available in the Chinese version of the firmware. However, the focus has been on noticeable improvements in performance and interface smoothness.
