One of the most advanced foldable smartphones
Xiaomi today officially unveiled its most advanced foldable smartphone ever, the Mix Fold 3. It might even be the best in class in terms of specs.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is built on the overclocked SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. To keep it from overheating, a cooling system with an area of 10,943 mm 2 is installed .
The new flagship of the Chinese company received two Samsung screens of the latest generation E6 at once. The outer one is characterized by a diagonal of 6.56 inches and an aspect ratio of 21: 9, the diagonal and resolution of the inner one is 8.03 inches and 2K. The internal one also has a very high brightness – 2600 cd / sq.m. The frame rate of both screens is 120 Hz.

The Mix Fold 3 hinges use “superstal” – high-strength steel with a tensile strength of 1800 MPa. The creators are confident in the strength of the hinges and the folding display itself: the screen can withstand 500 thousand folding / unfolding cycles – about 200-300 thousand cycles more than competitors.
Judging by the parameters of the camera, Mix Fold 3 will be among the best models in its class. For example, there is a periscope module, it provides a 5x zoom (sensor resolution is 10 megapixels). Another module, with a portrait lens and a 10-megapixel sensor, is responsible for 3.2x optical zoom. The main sensor has a sensor with a resolution of 50, there is a module with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel sensor. Xiaomi worked on the Mix Fold 3 camera together with Leica specialists. During the presentation, the head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, compared the photos taken by the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 with those taken by the iPhone 14 Pro. Naturally, the photos of the Chinese flagship looked more advantageous.
Mix Fold 3 is equipped with two rechargeable batteries (4800 mAh in total), the charging of which is controlled by three chips (two Surge G1 and one Surge P2).
The smartphone supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. As for prices, they look like this: 12/256 GB – $ 1240, 16/512 GB – $ 1380, 16 GB / 1 TB – $ 1515.
Xiaomi also today introduced another top for the money – Redmi K60 Ultra and a $ 55 Xiaomi Band 8 Pro fitness bracelet .
