Xiaomi will release an inexpensive smartphone Redmi 9i with a large battery and a Dot Drop screen
The Chinese company Xiaomi will soon expand the family of Redmi 9 Series smartphones, which already includes the Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9, and Redmi 9A models. The announcement of a budget device called Redmi 9i is coming.
The published teaser image suggests that the device will be equipped with a Dot Drop display with a small notch in the center at the top: this is where the front camera will be located.
It is known that the amount of RAM will be 4 GB. Buyers will be able to choose between modifications with a flash drive with a capacity of 64 and 128 GB. Three color options are mentioned – Nature Green (green), Sea Blue (blue), and Midnight Black (black).
It is said about the presence of a rather powerful battery, but its exact capacity is not given. The smartphone will ship with the Android operating system, complemented by the MIUI 12 proprietary add-on.
The presentation of Redmi 9i will take place on September 15. The price of new items, according to available information, will be from 110 US dollars.
According to Gartner’s calculations, Xiaomi was in fourth place in the list of the largest smartphone suppliers in the second quarter of this year. The company controls 8.9% of the world market.
