Yongnuo already has full-frame lenses with the same combination of focal length and maximum aperture for Canon and Nikon SLR cameras. The new model is designed specifically for use with Sony a6000 Series mirrorless cameras.
The optical design of the lens has eight elements in seven groups, including one element with low dispersion. A multilayer antireflection coating increases contrast and reduces the risk of glare. The diaphragm is formed by seven petals. The bayonet mount is made of metal, and the contacts connecting the lens and camera electronics are gold-plated. Autofocusing is provided by a stepper drive. The lens is equipped with a micro-USB connector, which uses firmware updates. The lens length is 58 mm, diameter – 64 mm, weight – 146 g.
The price and start date of sales are still unknown, but by analogy with other lenses of the Chinese manufacturer, we can assume that the new product will be very affordable.
