The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra was released in February 2022 with Android 12 out of the box. ZTE has been relatively slow to release Android 13 updates for its phones, but the Axon 40 Ultra is now starting to receive the update in some regions.

The stable Android 13 update for the Axon 40 Ultra is based on MyOS 13, ZTE’s custom Android skin. The update includes all of the new features and improvements that were introduced in Android 13, such as improved privacy controls, new notification features, and better performance.

The Android 13 update for the Axon 40 Ultra is currently rolling out in China, but it should be available in other regions soon. If you have an Axon 40 Ultra, you can check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates.

Here are some of the new features and improvements that are included in the Android 13 update for the Axon 40 Ultra:

  • Privacy improvements: Android 13 includes a number of new privacy features, such as the ability to revoke permissions for apps that you no longer use, and the ability to see which apps have accessed your microphone or camera in the past 24 hours.
  • New notification features: Android 13 includes a number of new notification features, such as the ability to snooze notifications for a specific period of time, and the ability to reply to notifications from the lock screen.
  • Better performance: Android 13 is said to be more efficient than previous versions of Android, which means that you should see improved battery life on your Axon 40 Ultra after you update to the new software.

If you have an Axon 40 Ultra, I recommend that you update to Android 13 as soon as possible. The update includes a number of new features and improvements that will make your phone more secure and efficient.
