Sony’s 2012 Android smartphone schedule and price in India leaks
Eight unannounced handsets show up in leaked roadmap, along with information of the newly launched Xperia S coming for Rs. 29,900
Well, this is a pretty big leak by any standard. GSM Arena has got exclusive details on the schedule for all of Sony’s Android handsets till September 2012, along with the price they will retail it. The information has been garnered from Sony’s sales report in India.
The list has confirmed some rumoured handsets such as the Kumquat, Nypon and Pepper, and revealed eight new ones: Tapioca, Tapioca DS, Hayabusa, Atlas I, Mint I, Olive I, AFFM and Lotus. Of course, most of these are code names and the final product could be called something completely different.
The first phone to hit India this year will be the flagship Sony Xperia S, revealed at CES earlier this month. The device will be released in the country in March for Rs. 29,900.
