12.9-Inch iPad Pro in Short Supply Ahead of Rumored March Update

12.9-Inch iPad Pro in Short Supply Ahead of Rumored March Update

Making the announcement during last week's quarterly earnings call, the Apple CEO stated he is "very bullish on iPad" despite slumping slate sales, and teased that the company is preparing new tablets for release.

Although it is said that Apple is releasing the iPad Mini 5 soon, the latest reports claim that the Cupertino-based company may not be releasing one; instead, fans should expect the arrival of the iPad Pro Mini.

"We've got some exciting things coming on iPad", Cook said last week, "and I'm optimistic about where things are headed". With the 12.9-inch model already 18 months old and the 9.7-inch variant reaching its 12-month mark in March, it appears that the time is right for an upgrade to the iPad Pro line. But one of the particularly intriguing rumors about the brand new addition to the iPad range is that the 10.5-inch version will feature an edgeless display with nearly no bezels at all. With powerhouse specs and features never before seen on the tablet front, the iPad Pro 2 might very well be Apple's first game-changer for 2017. Even in an industry that seems to be waning, the 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro continues to enjoy decent levels of success.

As things stand, users should wait for 2 to 3 weeks, to get their hands on iPad Pro. Currently, speculations are high that Apple might equip the iPad Pro 2 with a dual-lens camera system with sensors similar to the ones featured in the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple is expected to freshen up the way that the Home button operates in the next 12 months, with many believing that the traditional feature of the iPhone range will be removed completely when the iPhone 8 is unveiled. You might want to hold off, with latest reports suggesting Apple is just weeks away from unveiling a new iPad Pro.

Despite having traditionally been available within a matter of days, the existing model is now being listed with a "2-3 weeks" shipping timeframe on the official Apple website. The two expected devices may also carry the Apple Pencil 2. The camera is said to be 13 megapixels with LED flash. This would be a 50 percent increase over the eight-megapixel snapper included in the last generation of the tablet.

According to earlier reports, the new iPad Pro will come before the second half of the year.

Meanwhile, it is also suspected that the iPad Pro 2 will be launched next month, and the iPad Pro Mini will be released along with it as well.

Thus, there is a pretty good chance that Apple might opt to roll out the iPad Pro 2 with a dual-lens camera system, complete with the iPhone 7 Plus' most popular feature, its Portrait photo capabilities.
