10 million 5G users and 600 thousand iPhone 12. South Korea is actively developing a new network

South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT has confirmed that there were 9.98 million 5G users at the end of October, according to TheKoreaHerald. That is, today, there are more than 10 million 5G users in South Korea.

This is a significant increase in 735,113 people over the previous month. 5G users in the country make up 14.2% of all mobile device users. South Korea was one of the first to implement commercial 5G networks.

It is worth noting that the 5G user base in South Korea will continue to grow rapidly, as the country recently launched the iPhone 12 smartphones supporting fifth-generation networks. At the moment, according to experts, Apple has already sold over 600,000 iPhone 12 models in the South Korean market.

The rise in the number of 5G users has also led to a decrease in 4G users. South Korea currently has 53.9 million 4G users, nearly 400,000 fewer than the previous month.
