The head of Rostec spoke about the achievements
The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said during a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin that the state corporation plans to produce 10 Tu-214 aircraft annually by 2025. At the moment, construction of new hangars is underway at the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunova.
“There will be a very large plant, and 10 Tu-214 aircraft will be produced so far. 10 cars should be produced there already in 2025,” he said.
At the same time, Chemezov noted that additional funding would be required to increase the production of Tu-214s to 20 units per year. Mikhail Mishustin said that funds from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) could be partially used for these purposes.
10 Tu-214 airliners annually, possibly 20 each.
We strongly support our own production. And the most important thing is that platforms related to R&D, research and design work were initially laid down as import-substituting ones. Here it will be necessary to look at all possible options – from subsidizing loans to partially using the funds of the NWF. But in any case, we will support these works.
