The performance of this model looks promising
Many companies are preparing laptops based on Ryzen 5000 APUs, and Redmi is no exception. Geekbench 5 has already spotted a promising 14-inch RedmiBook Pro 14S laptop powered by a Ryzen 7 5700U APU, and its performance looks promising.
14-inch RedmiBook Pro 14S offers all the power of Ryzen 5000 at a low price
As you can see, the laptop scored 1182 points in a single-threaded test and 6431 points in a multi-threaded one. When comparing multi-threaded performance with Ryzen 7 4700U laptops, it is 28% higher on average. And even if we take into account only the highest results of the Ryzen 7 4700U, it still turns out that the Ryzen 7 5700U in the RedmiBook Pro 14S is almost 12% faster. Do not forget that the Ryzen 7 5700U, unlike its predecessor, supports multi-threading, and it also has a more powerful integrated graphics core – Vega 8 at 1.9 GHz versus Vega 7 at 1.6 GHz in the Ryzen 7 4700U.
In short, the RedmiBook Pro 14S is already ready to demonstrate the full power of the Ryzen 5000, while traditionally it will be an inexpensive laptop. The test shows that the new product received 16 GB of RAM, but that’s all that can be said about its characteristics. Apparently, the RedmiBook Pro 14S will officially debut on January 12 or 13 – after AMD officially unveils the Ryzen 5000 APU.
