$ 35 million a day, despite the sanctions – this is how much Huawei earned in the first half of the year

The Chinese company Huawei has released some financial results for the first six months of this year. For the first half of the year, the telecommunications giant received $ 65.6 billion in operating profit, which is 13.67% more than in the same period last year. In addition, the vendor received $ 6.2 billion in net profit, which is 23.49% more than last year. This means that during the first six months, Huawei earned about $ 35 million daily.

In the reporting period, Huawei’s success was mainly associated with the consumer segment of the business, which generated approximately $ 36.5 billion in revenue. As for the network and corporate areas of business, here the volume of revenue received for the reporting period is $ 22.8 billion and $ 5.1 billion, respectively.

Published data suggest that Huawei is still doing well despite numerous sanctions and restrictions. Recall that the US authorities have banned American companies from cooperating with a Chinese manufacturer. In addition, the United States is putting pressure on its allies, insisting that they should abandon the use of Huawei telecommunications equipment designed to build fifth-generation (5G) communications networks. US officials accuse Huawei of spying for the  Chinese government. As a result, several countries, including Australia and New Zealand, have recently stopped using Huawei’s 5G equipment.

However, Huawei is grappling with the difficulties for now. At the end of last year, the company shipped about 240 million smartphones, which was a record achievement for the manufacturer. In April of this year, Huawei became the largest smartphone maker, taking that title away from the South Korean company Samsung. In addition, Huawei is the largest manufacturer of 5G smartphones.
