The new Avatr 12 vehicle from Changan, Huawei and CATL is ready for mass production. Its description and photographs have been published by the Chinese regulatory authority.
It is positioned as a full-size premium sedan on the EP1 platform, like the Avatr 11 crossover. In fact, the Avatr 12 is not a sedan, but a liftback, that is, the luggage compartment lid rises along with the rear window. He received branded thin headlights, a sporty bumper and a streamlined body shape. Also included are cameras instead of side mirrors, slim taillights and a very small rear window.
Dimensions are 5020 x 1999 x 1460 mm with a wheelbase of 3020 mm. The rear-wheel drive version weighs 2180 kg, while the all-wheel drive version weighs 2300 kg. There are five seats inside the Avatr 12.

The standard version is equipped with one Huawei electric motor. It is mounted on the rear axle and develops 313 hp. The all-wheel drive version received two 548 hp engines. The battery capacity of the Avatr 12 has yet to be revealed. It is only known that he has a battery manufactured by CATL.
The Avatr joint venture was originally founded by Changan and Nio. Nio later pulled out of this joint venture due to financial problems. At present, Changan owns 40.99% of the shares and CATL owns 17.1%. The rest belong to various investment funds. In this project, Huawei does not have its share, but it supplies electronics, electric motors and software.
